Curiosity in some human beings has been criticized, however I believe that without curiosity human beings could not have the development they have today, since curiosity can become the engine that drives us to leave our comfort zone and to have to explore other environments where we can discover other aspects that can be beneficial to our development as a species.
As human beings it is inescapable that we can avoid curiosity, on the contrary, whether for better or for worse, the human species will always have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, and that drive for new knowledge is given by the curiosity to learn new things.

An example of this is the knowledge we have of the universe and the cosmos, the only way to obtain knowledge of the universe and the cosmos is a product of the curiosity we have to know other planets in our universe, if there was no curiosity to know other planets, we would not have the knowledge we have today about our solar system, the milky way and other galaxies.
Logically, as everything in the universe needs to find a point of balance, if curiosity is excessive it can have negative consequences, so the curiosity in the human being is necessary but in its right proportion.
I always tell people that no matter what you want to do it, you can not escape curiosity but you need to manage and balance it as that is what will determine the productivity result
