Showcase Sunday - My Portfolio of Charcoal Drawings

This quarter has ended until January so I thought that I would share my portfolio of drawings that I drew in my Introduction to Charcoal Drawing class. I am a beginning artist and I have been taking classes at a senior center in my area. I am always given a photo reference to draw. In the beginning, I did not have a choice of what I should draw. I started off with an eye, then an ear, then faces and people.

I can see how my skills have improved since I have been in the class. My teacher gives helpful hints and insight into my process while I draw. I drew only one picture in color because I wanted to see how different the process would be in blending colors together. I discovered that color pastel is more difficult for me at this stage.

In any regard, hopefully, I have met the threshold of art work that "doesn't suck". :) I'm looking forward to seeing the works and tips of other artists in this community, thanks to @midlet.
