"Bleak Mornings"
Though it is not this cold or snowy here,
My mornings are sometimes bleak.
I struggle to climb back out of bed, yet
my will can be so weak.
I know that there are things to do;
I have tasks that need be done.
Still it would be so easy, to
Pull the covers back up and run.
To snuggle in so deep, and
Hide myself from you.
I sometimes I only want to sleep,
But with life, I am not through.
