I am on a train to the Austrian countryside for a weekend with friends and there is a lot of lovley serenity and "Green" to see for my tired eyes but
my Love on this Friday goes out to the Island I spent nearly 2 decades of my life.
It was a so called Love & Hate friendship with the sacred ground, the home of Gods & Goddesses but also Evil & Corruption.
The natural balance of our universe!
Paradise is where we find it and right next to it there will be Hell.
There will not be Niskala without Sekala!
There are only two options you got and it's only up to you what to choose.
Adapt & Accept or go to find another place you call your home with similar emotions as well as similar challenges to face. It's the same wherever you go.
I will never regret that I decided to stay for that many years, raising and preparing my child with simple and innocent values, spiritual Hindu roots, mixed with western manners.
** I still love Bali and many good people I met.

Hello @mammasitta, i late to commented, but although somewhat late i want to share a bit in your article.
You are rigth that wherever we #live or see #photography or #travel wherever it is beautiful, it will be much more beautiful more comfortable land our own island even though the "beauty" #bali or any regoin we come will be far peaceful living land alone.
Our home ground is our own mother, away from her mom like this #life is hollow.

I moved from Manhattan to Bali 1999 and I believe that it was a good choice but now I am back where I am from to explore my homeland Austria again to teach my daughter where her roots are from.
