Summer is here
Here comes the scorching heat of the sun everyone!
Philippines- the pearl of the Orient seas, our country has been known for it's beauty and magnificence not just the archipelago itself but as well as it's people. Philippines as a tropical country has only two seasons : the WET and the DRY season. The wet or rainy season starts in June and ends in October on the other hand dry season begins in late of November and ends in May. And when Mr. Sun is at it's finest , Filipinos and even visitors from every corners of the world , loves to explore what our country has to offer - the scenic views that are just mind blowing but on top of that are the fabulous beaches where in you can submerge yourself and enjoy the heat of summer!
Here are the possible things you can do to enjoy the summery feel of this season:
DESSERTS AND REFRESHMENTS - Satisfy yourself with some of the thirst quenching refreshments or desserts that are very common to every Filipinos' tongue and even foreign people would love to try:
• HALO - HALO - who wouldn't slaver once you hear this name more so if it's right there in front of you. As one of the Philippines popular desserts especially in summer, halo- halo is served in many ways but basically it's made up of shaved ice, evaporated milk, sugar added with various ingredients like mango, banana, avocado, coconut strips and more topped with your ice cream of choice!
•BUKO PANDAN/ GULAMAN JUICE - here's another dessert that will totally give you the summer feels. Buko pandan consists of pandan flavored gelatin and shredded young coconut mixed with cream and sweetened milk. To be honest I don't know what's the difference between the Buko pandan and Gulaman, they are almost the same except for the shredded coconut.The mountains
Get ready to be sweaty and hot as you pack your bags! Philippines as we know has magnificent terrains. Summer might be really hot but it's a good season to do hiking or camping with your friends.
And last but not the least...
- The beaches
As an archipelago, Philippines has a large body of water surrounding every islands. People get to enjoy taking a dip in our crystal clear water and enjoying the feel of white sands under the heat of the sun. Beaches here are not just in specific secluded areas, you can find a reasonable, nice and good ones anywhere either you're in a tight budget or not
