Leg bones of ancient humans were discovered, they could easily climb over the tree, know!
Homo naledi was a new, extinct human ancestor recently discovered in a South African cave. Now, a month later, we better understand how our relatives walked and how they climbed from one tree to another.
After digging more than 1,550 fossils from the Rising Star Cave, the researchers determined that the foot of H. Naledi corresponds with humans. Researchers have discovered that they did not use their feet on our own way.
The researchers examined 107 leg bones from which they found that H. naledi was well-suited for standing and walking on two feet, but it was also well adapted to climb trees. In order to better understand H. Naledi's climbing strategy, the researchers examined the bones of their hands.
According to William Harcourt-Smith, a research associate living in the American Museum of American History, lead author of New Paper and H. naledi's foot is far more advanced than other parts of his body.
The division of Paleontology said in the release that their feet were clearly as human beings and this was beneficial for them.
While H. Naledi's foot was more like human bones, two area legs are still similar to chimpanzees. For example, H. Naledi's feet were more curved and their feet were generally arc compared to the people of modern men.
Well it seems that we did not go straight at that time.
H. The fossils that are taken are not yet dated, so researchers are still unsure how this form of bipartisan fixes in human development.
