ShortFilm: Nobody Nose Cleopatra (2017)
What can be said about this short film?
The story is based on the nose of Cleopatra, and it feels like the same, never-ending story. which is: Cleopatra having a huge nose and a bad temper.. Those who can't portray her in a way she look good are doomed (read: will die, which is in this case the one who delivers the drawing/painting).
If a "student" of a painter has to deliver a painting to Cleopatra, he damages it and tries to fix it before he has to present it. Cleopatra likes it... This is basically what you will see, and I wonder what the charm of it is. Most likely the way the animation looks like. I am not impressed by the end or the strong storyline.
Like: The end result of the portrait of Cleopatra. I can't say this is a hilarious film, unlike what the makers state..
Dislike: I am no fan of twisting the truth and it feels that the stereotypical ideas about this intelligent woman and strong leader are still measured with different standards today than when she would have been a man. Keeping lies alive, instead of taking the chance to add a bit of truth/information, I find a big minus. The meaning of this phrase has nothing to do with her appearance.
Did Cleopatra have issues with her nose?
The answer is no. I asked AI and this is the information given:
The stories about her nose most likely started with a famous quote attributed to the French philosopher Blaise Pascal, who wrote in his Pensées (1669):
"Had Cleopatra's nose been shorter, the whole face of the world would have been changed."
This was a philosophical expression and had nothing to do with her looks.

I saw the video, I agree with you, it is NOT funny at all, quite the opposite, a woman's vanity ends the lives of several artists, the last one has a different perspective, he achieves a painting that actually camouflages the problem that still persists, it is similar to looking for solutions that do not remedy anything, and some simply settle for a half-baked result.

I really wonder what the fun part it. So far I found no one who could explain it.
Are there animations or films about leaders/kings./Queens of the 20th century?
The writers of these short films are always looking to do something different in exchange for making the viewer have a different opinion of a character than what he or she originally had.
For me, I don't particularly like writers who, instead of providing findings that are recognized, interesting or important, are only looking for personal sensationalism.

If you ask every story about Cleopatra is always about her nose and bad temper. Interesting fact is she was an great ruler and very intelligent. Can it be that's the reason why the remark of the writer is is taken literally (or was it envy).
if it comes to writers of short stories (also those of short films) there's no time to dive into many details and aspects unlike with normal or long films. So it is an art to write a short story and make it interesting.
Like you I also don't like it if the history is changed and there's no attention for who she really was.
What people see they take for the truth.
It is already known that she was a beautiful woman, with big eyes, perhaps her nose did not matter much to her and her people. What is important are the stories told about her life. Her achievements, the position she held, how she imposed her criteria. How she managed to impress also two legendary men of the past. The legacies she left behind. How he came to occupy a position as pharaoh of Egypt.
It's interesting to find out and delve into all the stories that are told about her, but her nose,? it doesn't really interest me.

There was nothing wrong with her nose and she didn't suffer because of it.
That writer had an expression, like there are many expressions and idioms referring to noses, ears, eyes and hearts. Some idiot with a lack of brain thought there was something with her nose and you know how it works and how fast a gossip is spread. It's hard to kill stupidity and lies than anything else.
