Dopo tanto tempo torno a parlare di calcio qui e lo faccio al termine di un weekend davvero complicato per tutto il mondo arbitrale.
Devo dire che ogni settimana ce n'è una, qualcuno ha sempre modo di lamentarsi e di gridare allo scandalo, ma stavolta di episodi ce ne sono stati vari e non di poco conto.

Ma il VAR non doveva servire proprio ad evitare questo sciame di proteste e sospetti post-gara?

In effetti era nato con questo proposito, ma poi si è trasformato in un oggetto flessibile, soggetto ad interpretazioni, quindi non più oggettivo.

Siamo passati da un'on-field review ogni quarto d'ora, a partite nelle quali vengono dati rigori inventati e il Var non interviene. Ma perché?

In Serie A poi, è normale che per un "vuoto normativo" il VAR non possa segnalare all'arbitro o al guardalinee se un pallone è chiaramente uscito o se un'azione è viziata da un fuorigioco di partenza?

L'obiettivo è quello di avere meno errori possibili sul campo o di seguire delle pratiche burocraticamente inutili?

Tutte queste domande hanno già una risposta: il protocollo.

Un approccio che non favorisce nessuno e lascia scontenti tutti.
Seguiamolo il protocollo allora. Però poi un fallo di mano una volta lo è, un'altra no...lo step on foot lo invochiamo solo quando ci fa comodo e sugli errori palesi ci nascondiamo dietro il fatto che "il VAR non poteva intervenire".

E' mai possibile che nell'era della Goal-Line technology non possiamo avere la stessa risposta sulle linee laterali o su quella di fondo? Mi sembra una presa in giro.

E quando, come successo in Turchia, una chiara simulazione viene rivista e non ravvisata? Cosa dobbiamo pensare? Che ci sia ancora la volontà di favorire determinate squadre o che ci sia un livello di incompetenza della classe arbitrale a dir poco allarmante?

La risposta non ce l'ho, ma in entrambi i casi la situazione è grave e preoccupante. E comunque ha fatto bene l'Adana a lasciare il campo, un segnale forte che andava dato, perché tutti facciamo parte di questo circo e ognuno per i suoi interessi va avanti così come se nulla fosse.

After a long time I'm back to talk about football here and I do it at the end of a really complicated weekend for the entire refereeing world.
I must say that every week there is one, someone always has a way to complain and cry scandal, but this time there were several episodes and not of little importance.

But wasn't VAR supposed to serve to avoid this swarm of protests and post-match suspicions?

In fact it was born with this purpose, but then it transformed into a flexible object, subject to interpretation, therefore no longer objective.

We have gone from an on-field review every quarter of an hour, to matches in which invented penalties are given and the VAR does not intervene. But why?

In Serie A, is it normal that due to a "regulatory gap" the VAR cannot signal to the referee or the linesman if a ball is clearly out of play or if an action is tainted by an offside from the start?

Is the goal to have as few errors as possible on the field or to follow bureaucratically useless practices?

All these questions already have an answer: the protocol.

An approach that favors no one and leaves everyone unhappy.
Ok, let's follow the protocol. But then a handball is one time, another time it's not...we invoke the step on foot only when it's convenient for us and on obvious errors we hide behind the fact that "the VAR couldn't intervene".

Is it possible that in the Goal-Line technology era we can't have the same response on the sidelines or on the bottom line? It seems like a joke to me.

And when, as happened in Turkey, a clear simulation is reviewed and not detected? What should we think? That there is still the will to favor certain teams or that there is a level of incompetence of the refereeing class that is nothing short of alarming?

I don't have the answer, but in both cases the situation is serious and worrying. And in any case Adana did well to leave the field, a strong signal that had to be given, because we are all part of this circus and each for their own interests continues as if nothing had happened.
