Incredible India monthly contest of March #2| Do you acknowledge accumulating protection should be our birthright?
Hello everyone On this occasion I would like to participate in a contest held by @meraindia about Incredible India March Monthly Contest #2 | Do you agree that seeking protection should be our basic right?
following my previous entry I would like to invite my friends @rossnenye, @josepha, and @bonaventure24 to participate in this contest
Protection is an inherent basic need which should be a primary human right for everyone. Every human being must have the right to a life in a safe surroundings where no one is harmed through violence, exploitation or discrimination.
And, unfortunately protection is not given to final human beings on various(strange) cornerses of the earth especially children and women by many.
Today we live in the modern era and a wok safety is the state, the state and a equation involves society. Protection Rights: Physical and Psychological - social security to including right to Justice in case one's rights are violated The law must be clear and robust enough to protect this right as done by the state.
Lessons for young people on self-defense Important
Teaching young people how to protect themselves is a must so that they can identify danger and what steps to take in hazardous circumstances. Some key lessons to tell the kids and young ones are:
Identify Danger — Kids must learn to identify the danger in the real world and digital world like recognizing harmful exchanges from strangers, threats on social media.
Being Assertive — The kids must be taught to say "No" if they are uncomfortable or feel threatened Some lessons which must be taught at least for the children is:
Calling out the Signs – Children must be made aware of signs for danger, be it real world danger or in the digital space (e.g: check suspicious interactions towards strangers on the road, receiving weird messages via social media).
Assertiveness — empowering children to yell “no!” and stand up for themselves, reporting anything suspicious.
Seeking Help – Teach children and young people that they are not alone in facing threats. They should know who they can turn to for protection, such as parents, teachers, or authorities.
Awareness of Rights – Young people should understand that they have the right to be protected and should not experience violence in any form.
How to Protect Children and Women
Whether inside or outside the home, protecting children and women should be a top priority. Some steps that can be taken include:
In the home:
Fostering a safe and nurturing family lifestyle.
Teach the values of equality and respect to each other.
Spreading awareness among children and women that it is safe for them to disclose their fears or experiences.
Outside the home:
Ensuring safe open spaces in public, where there are no hazards for people and safe for women and men alike to exist i.e public facilities like proper transportation availability in equal rides or anything that should be under surveillance.
Women studies related educations on gender based violence and gender rights.
Enforcing Zero Tolerance in Workplace or Education Introducing Harassment And Violence Zero Policy.
The need for Powerful laws that safeguard children and women
Laws of each country should be very strong for protection of children and women The need for stringent statutes will continue to be that different kinds of violence and exploitation will transpire without clear laws with robust enforcement. The law should provide protection, justice and support for those who have been wronged as they deal with emotional wounds.
