Motherhood is the greatest title a woman can receive in this world. There is no title in this world that can be compared to that title. Also, as a gift of nature, every woman has her body shaped to be able to have a great motherhood. But there are also unfortunate situations. Because we know that some women are unable to have the title of mother due to various problems. I see the reason for this as a result of their previous bad deeds they did. Because in today's society, some women are used to having abortions a lot when it comes to having children due to their unruly behavior. Therefore, as a result of its, women can be infertility later. Anyway, in our country, abortions are prohibited by law.

Also, motherhood is a must for a married woman. Because giving birth to a new generation is a responsibility that every woman has. No woman can shirk that responsibility. I know, many women dream of becoming mothers after getting married. Women wait until their first child is born. After the child is come her womb, the woman acts very carefully. She does everything she can to protect the child in her womb.

How important is the desire of a girl in the decision to become a mother? Sometimes due to social pressure many girls are forced to choose motherhood, share your views on this.

Every woman is committed to giving birth to a new generation, but women also have the fundamental right to decide on motherhood. After a woman marries, she should discuss the time of becoming a mother with her husband and she should also have a desire for it. Or she should not make that decision based on the influence of her family or society. Because every woman should be mentally prepared for it before becoming a mother.

I am a Buddhist girl who grew up in a Sinhala family. So in our Sinhala culture and our religion, there is no pressure on women to have motherhood. But in some religions and some countries, it is mandatory for women to have motherhood and the desire and consent of the woman for that is not considered. In such societies, it is accepted that she must definitely become a mother whether she wants it or not. And in some cultures, women are married off as soon as they turn 16 and even her not consent is sought for that marriage. Some cultures accept that the only thing women should do is bear children.

Also, there are some mothers-in-law who torture their new daughter-in-law from the day they get married to have a child. They always put a lot of pressure on the newly married daughter-in-law, asking questions about motherhood. In addition, there are women who are looking for gossip. They always ask when they will have a child and whether they will have a child soon. So it is in the midst of such mental pressure that a woman has to bear motherhood. How bad is that.

So I know very well that no woman likes the pressure from different religions and their race. Because when I was doing my O/L exams, I had a friend who was not of our religion. She was a beautiful 16-year-old girl from another religion. Her hope was to pass the O/L exam well and do her A/L with Mathematics. She was also good at studying. So as she expected, she passed her O/L exam well and got an "A pass" in Mathematics and got the opportunity to study for her A/L with Math stream. But no matter how much she begged, her parents did not want her to study after the age of 16. They even disrupted her studies and forced her to marry an old man against her will and have children. And our friend also told our science teacher about the influence her parents were having on her and asked the teacher to tell her parents to let her study further. So, even though our teacher talked to her parents and explained it to them, her parents didn't even listen to what the teacher said.

So every woman should have the right and the will to make decisions about marriage and motherhood. It is very unfair to influence those things in this way. I absolutely do not accept it. So, considering the influences exerted by some religions and races, I am very happy to be a Sinhala Buddhist. And I have great pride in that.

What do you think how a husband should take care of his wife during maternity?

Why not..? It is said that pregnancy is definitely a time when a woman needs the love and protection of her husband. Almost every woman wants her husband to be close to her and take care of her with love during that time. But in any religion, country, or race, there are many husbands who torture their wives during their pregnancy. So a woman gets such a man only for a sin. If the child that the wife is carrying in her womb is his own, why can't that husband take care of her with love...? That is the responsibility of the husband, isn't it..?

There are also many husbands who take great care of their wives during pregnancy and at other times. They treat their wives with great love and kindness, like a mother, a daughter, or a sister. But some husbands think that the only duty of a wife is to raise children. Thinking like that, they do various unseemly things. Such incidents are often heard in today's society.

Another true story. There was a woman who was also of another religion, and her last three children out of five were delivered by Caesarean section. So the doctor told her and her husband not to have any more children. The doctor said that if she gave birth to another child, her life could be in danger. But her husband wanted another child. It was not because of love for children but because he wanted to increase his race beyond other races. So because of the rules in that culture, she could not oppose her husband's idea. So she got pregnant for the 6th time and died while giving birth to the child. In fact, her husband wanted to have another child even if his wife died.

So there are plenty of stories like this to tell. But it's very sad to hear about such incidents.

Share your thoughts on how a husband and wife should prepare not only physically but also mentally to take on the responsibilities of parenting.

In fact, from the moment a child is conceived in a woman's womb, the husband and wife become mother and father. So, from that moment on, they change their previous lives and prepare to accept their child who is about to be born. No matter how playful a husband may be, he changes his behavior after becoming a father.

She does many things to be beautiful in her youth, but after becoming a great motherhood, she is careful not to use any cosmetics because of the love she has for her child. The woman who used to run around before, walks very slowly after the child is in her womb. She also always tries to be happy and keep her mind free. In addition, both of them work together to engage in good deeds. So the mother and father do all these things for their child.

Finally, I pray that all women who are looking forward to the blessed joy of motherhood will realize their dreams this year.
