Aceh Traditional House Museum |
Aceh traditional house is an original building made of wood. This building is a traditional Acehnese stilt house. On August 13, 1914, this house was used as the Aceh pavilion in the De Koloniale Tentoonsteling field or often called the colonial exhibition. So far, the Aceh pavilion has succeeded in becoming the best pavilion.
Acehnese artifacts are very distinctive and have very high artistic value. At that time, this pavilion wanted to be dismantled and taken to the Netherlands, but was thwarted by the Acehnese people. Themes house proposed to the civil and military governors of Aceh to bring back the Aceh pavilion and use it as a museum.

On September 1, 1980, the Aceh museum changed its name to the Aceh State Museum which was inaugurated by the Minister of Education and Culture. At that time, the person in charge was Dr. Daied Yoesoef.
After Indonesia went through a period of crisis and independence, in 1969 this museum became the property of the Aceh Regional Government, on the initiative of Teuku Hamzah Bendahara. At that time the Aceh Museum was moved from its old location (Blang Padang) to its current location on Jalan Sultan Alaidin Mahmudsyan on 10,800 m2 of land.
History reminds us to appreciate the struggle of the fallen heroes. It is only natural that we as the younger generation have an obligation to preserve the relics of the fallen heroes, not to damage them and to continue to introduce them to the next generation. there are many collections of old items in this traditional Acehnese house. You can see the collection below
There are still many relics from the past, ranging from cooking utensils, weapons, bedrooms and so on. This traditional Acehnese house makes us love our own culture even more. Simple but meaningful, living in a stilt-shaped house makes us feel safer and more comfortable. The atmosphere of overlapping wood that cools the room area. Makes us feel like we are living in the great outdoors.
I am very happy to visit this place. I am on vacation with my family, how lucky I am to be able to see Acehnese houses again as well as typical Acehnese objects that are still very beautiful without a modern touch.
This place is very comfortable, quiet, clean. There are many collections of relics from ancient times. With this place we love this place even more. I don't think there are any shortcomings in this place. Everything is well maintained, there is even a book for us to write our messages and impressions of this place.
