We believe that the Fourth Industrial Revolution is basically a new era consisting of modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics, Big Data and Blockchain, which are bringing radical changes in industry, business and daily life. Moving every step of our lives forward. Bangladesh and other countries have to keep pace with this revolution. Creation of skilled human resources, development of technology-based education system and emphasis on research are now considered the need of the hour. Government and private sector should jointly invest in digital infrastructure and skills development. Besides, it is very important to encourage students to acquire technical knowledge like programming, data analytics and cyber security. Otherwise, we may fall behind the competition when automation and AI bring about major changes in the job market. So we need to prepare now to meet the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution.
