Hazoori Bagh: Echoes of the Mughal Era in Lahore’s Heart
Assalam O Alaikum |

Hazoori Bagh, a beautiful place and a crown jewel of Mughal heritage. As we know, the Mughal emperors has ruled over the subcontinent more than 300 years and during that tenure, they built a lot of tall, strong and beautiful monuments all over the subcontinent including in India and Pakistan. Their love for architect shows in the places which they have build during their tenure.
So, the Hazoori Bagh is one of those places which was built by the Mughals but now that place, has became a very Integral part of Lahore city as, on daily basis, thousands of tourists visit to see it's amazing beauty. Last year, I have also visited Hazoori Bagh along with my friends. It was my first time there and I was very pleased to explore that place because it was more than a wonder.
We reached there in the evening as someone told us that the Lahore fort looks more beautiful in the evening or night and that was so true because we reached there, we saw some amazing lights there which increase its beauty. So, we parked our bike and entered inside the fort where a famous dialogue about Lahore was written with light which you can see in the above picture.
Imagine visiting a place, with huge door, tall and strong walls how do you feel? Definitely, it will take to you that ancient times when the people used to live in such place. At those moments, I was also thinking about the times when that place was under the use and supervision of Mughal emperors. That was truly a breathtaking sight.
Badshahi mosque, is another gem of Mughal architecture situated inside the Hazoori Bagh. The one of its door opens inside the Hazoori Bagh. Which you can see in the above picture. We decided to go inside the mosque but unfortunately the door was closed because the time of prayer was gone. So we stood outside it and captured some pictures.
Allama Iqbal, was a great poet, leader and the thinker of Pakistan is also buried on one side of the door of Badshahi mosque and inside the Bagh. The place you are looking behind us and in the picture is the tomb of Allama Iqbal. On it, the people came and recite surah Al fatiah.
But, the glory of Hazoori Bagh and Badshahi mosque can't end there because, if you want to eat some traditional delicious foods of Pakistan, you can eat there. Yes this is because, in front of the door of Lahore fort, there is a very vast food street from where you can eat all kinds of foods. We also ate gol gapay, fruit chat and cream chat there which were very delicious.
Haveli Restaurant, a beautiful place is also present in that food street which increase the excitement of visiting these places. This is because, it provides us an opportunity of having delicious and tasty foods at the same location of Lahore fort and Badshahi mosque. From the top of Haveli Restaurant, you can take a glimpse of Badshahi mosque as the dining area is on the top of its roof.
That was my entry about that topic and I hope you will enjoy reading it. Now it is a time to say goodbye to everyone and I want to invite my friends @ulfatulrahmah, @suboohi and @sualeha to take a part in this amazing contest.
