Hope in Life
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
A beautiful section of scripture that is meant to encourage us. There is so much in this world that can bother us, or threaten our personal and physical security. They are everywhere; from financial distress, to the car breaking down, to relationship hardships, to the lack OF relationships, from child-care issues, to the lack of child-care issues, the hardships are everywhere. Facebook so often makes us look at life through the lens of others, and we wonder, "What is wrong with my life, why is everyone so happy, why am I missing out?"
Well, the reality is that everyone goes through times of joy and times of hardship, times of plenty and times of want. However, one only needs to look at this scripture and realize that everyone is equal in desires. God knows this and the further into the future we think, the more worry gets to us. Instead, we are encouraged to look at today only. Each day has its issues, but if instead we choose to look at things in thanksgiving, the times WILL get better.
