The lead of bone lies inert.
The saturnine rest of Sabbath is entire. It ends here.
The temple veil has been rent in two. Through the slit the interior world beckons.
Table meets cross in the grave. The tomb as altar.
The gates of hell are wrecked. The prisoners set free.
The sun in the land of the dead rises anew.
