Better Life : Diary Game 9-22-2021 || The Basic Needs of the Family e

Hello Steemit Philippines and friends! How are you today? Hope you are all doing good and healthy in this trying time of pandemic.

I would like to ask a question for all of you:

What are your basic needs for you and your family?

After going out from work at 5:00 in the afternoon, I went directly at the mini market near my workplace. I am looking for something we can have as viand for dinner. When i went to the fish and meat vendor, I had a hard time choosing what to buy.

I had a hard time not because I don't like what the seller sells but I had a hard time because of the prices per kilo for each type. The fish ranges from Php 200.00 - Php 240.00 per kilo , the Chicken Php 180.00 per kilo and the pork meat is Php 240.00 - 260.00 per kilo. But in the end I bought a half kilo of the fish (bilong-bilong) for Php 100.00 which contains 4 pieces only.

On the next stall I pass was the one selling vegetables and spices.

Vegetables and spices are important in having a healthy meal, likewise with spices that adds flavor or taste of the food. Same with pork and fish meat, the vegetables are also expensive. Their reason why it's expensive because it comes from the province and the transportation cost is so high in this pandemic time. I just bought a small amount enough for one meal.

The next stall is selling fruits.

Because it's pandemic and everyone are buying fruits to boost the immune system to avoid getting infected with COVID. Most of the fruits gets expensive especially the oranges. Before the price of oranges ranges from Php 5.00 to 3 for Php 20.00 but now the it's Php 20.00 - Php 25.00 each. I didn't buy any fruits because I have no enough budget for the week because my salary will still be on the end or 30th day of the month.

Todays situation is very hard, because we have lessened our workdays but our needs especially for food is the same. All the food prices are always getting higher and our source of income is getting lesser. The need for budgeting should be impose in order to survive on the next payday. Yes, we do need other resources or sources of income that is why most of us joined Steemit for this reason. Thus, even if we have less upvotes or no upvotes at all we still continue our journey maybe one day we can earn and buy our basic needs. And if we have more upvotes, then we can do power ups to pay or help the community and the Steemit Platform.

Hoping and Praying that this pandemic will end the soonest, so we can have our main source of income be stable.
