Have you ever had tomatoes on a cheese grilled sandwich?

The first time grilled cheese sandwich was when I started dating my long-time partner.

Never even heard of it growing up, though we have melted cheese in a jar (which is I think a fake cheese) that we just put on a bread but not grilled.

This version of the grilled cheese sandwich have tomatoes and I believe I like it more than the one with just cheese because the tomatoes gives it a really nice texture and flavor.

I normally just use the american cheese but this one I added one sliced of sharp cheddar just because and of course lots butter!

What about you? Have you tried having tomatoes on your grilled cheese sandwich?
