“PICK A WORD, PAINT A STORY #08"

I would like to thank @senehasa for the good organization of this weekly contest.The three words to choose this week are FRIEND, FLOWER, and BIRD. And I am choosing the word "Friend".

Sheikh Saadi says:,
The relationship with friends is of the heart and the heart provides blood to the whole body.
What do you understand from this?

In my view, this is certainly a truth that everyone acknowledges, but for that, having a true and sincere friend is a condition.

Today's friendships are just illusions. Friendship requires sacrifice and not everyone has the courage to sacrifice. In good times, everyone is together, the true meaning of friendship is revealed in bad times.

Hazrat Ali Radiyallahu Anhu said:

"Make thousands of relationships in this world, but make one relationship in such a way that when those thousands of people turn against you, that one relationship will support you".

Good and bad times come to everyone.
In good times we do not see those friends disguised as wolves and these wolves are those who seem to us that there is no other true friend like them in our life.
They are just pretending to be of your own. And when a difficult time comes upon us, when we need them, then they show us their true form, "an enemy disguised as a friend".
And they leave at the time of need, but when they go, they leave with such a sting that a person does not forget the pain for the rest of his life.

Today I will share with you one such story of a true friend, and of a person who is a stain on the name of friendship.

This is the story of three friends who grew up together since childhood. If one was in pain, the pain was felt by all three. Ayman, Adan and Noor, all three were exemplary in beauty.

Ayman and Adan belonged to a middle-class family, while Noor belonged to a wealthy family. Says that whoever has money becomes arrogant and despises others in front of him.
But Noor was different from all of them, taking the initiative to help and sympathize with the poor. She longed for love because her parents died when she was a child. She had a brother and her grandmother was her total universe. Grandmother had trained both children very well. Adan and Ayman used to read the Holy Qur'an from Noor's grandmother. Grandmother was a good hearted woman. She loved Adan and Ayman like her own children.

Adan and Noor had the same habit while Ayman was stubborn from the beginning. She used to go to any extent to fulfill her wishes. she did not care at all that her actions hurt others. From school to college, Adan and Noor always protected her, whether it was scolding or beating by the teacher, every time she made some excuse or her mistakes, fights with other class fellows, all. She always protected her by covering up.

Sometimes Adan would get irritated by this and she would also get angry, but Noor would always explain to both of them. She did not allow any misunderstanding between the three. But time may have approved something else.

Hazrat Ali Radiyallahu Anhu said:
"Love and friendship" these two things can weather every storm but there is one thing that tears them apart and that is misunderstanding.

Ayman's heart was greedy, greedy for money, greedy for riches, greedy for ruling over the poor and she wanted to do all this in a short-cut way. She knew that if she became Noor's sister-in-law, she could fulfill all her wishes, but Noor's brother Ziyad liked Adan since childhood. Adan was a good-hearted innocent girl. Ziyad wanted a girl like Adan as his life partner. Dadi and Noor also had the same wish that Adan would become the daughter-in-law of Haveli. Ever since Ayman came to know about this, she became desperate to take revenge on Adan. She wanted to destroy Adan in any way from Ziyad and Noor's eyes. Because it was Adan who was the obstacle in the way of her wishes. In the fire of her revenge, she didn't even think that Adan was her childhood friend who supported her in every difficulty like her sisters, but Ayman was haunted by the ghost of revenge.

Ayman had some other friends who were very clever and cunning. All of them also had boyfriends who used to trap innocent girls and make them adorn houses and markets and forced them to do every wrong thing. Ayman was unaware of all this, she considered these boys and girls as her benefactors. Together with her friends, she made a plan to kidnap Adan. And Adan was handed over to these boys by deception. And after returning home, she started shouting that some people have kidnapped Adan. She started crying and pretending to be unconscious so that no one would suspect her.

After hearing all this, Noor and Ziyad started searching for Adan and soon Ziyad recovered Adan from these boys by using his influence. On returning, Adan told Noor the whole truth about how Ayman had handed over these boys by deception. Fearing disgrace and infamy, Ayman apologized to Noor and Adan and promised that she would never do this again. Noor and Adan, keeping friendship as usual, covered up Ayman's mistake, but the trust and faith they had on Ayman was broken.

Of course, behind her unlimited and unsuccessful desires, Ayman made herself suspicious in front of such sincere and loving friends. She also knew that now she could not win their trust again. Friendship demands sacrifice which was given by Noor and Adan but Ayman did not sacrifice her desires but sacrificed her friendship.

On the other hand, the grandmother without delay announced the marriage of Ziyad and Adan. Indeed, true people of heart find their destination. Ziyad, Adan and Noor started to live happily together.

Hazrat Ali said,
"Stay with a friend like the salt that is not visible in the food, but if it is not there, its absence is greatly felt."

And of course Ayman will now feel this lack for the rest of her life.

conclusion

One should not sacrifice dear and sincere relationships with one's life behind one's unlimited and unbridled desires. One should value friends like Adan and Noor in one's life, otherwise there will be nothing but regrets in life.
