How I am spending my days- Mahakumbh Special : 28-01-2025

On Wednesday, 22 January I received a call from one of my friend who was on leave for 4 days. He asked me if he could stay at my house during Holy bath. I agreed happily for that. Next day by evening he got down at platform. I informed him where to be dropped from auto-rickshaw. I received them cordially and brought them home. I called my cook to prepare special food for that day but my friend denied. He asked me to go out for dinner so I agreed upon his will. We went to a nearby restaurant named Madhur Restaurant. We have visited this restaurant many times and we liked its services. After having dinner we returned home. We had chat for around an hour then went to bed.

Next morning we woke up by 3:30 AM and after getting fresh we booked an auto. Auto dropped us around 1 kilometre before Triveni Sangam. We walked for around 20 minutes and reached the bank of Sangam. We took off clothes and went to have bath in two shifts as there was need to look after the clothes too.

The water was too cold ❄️. We started shimmering entering the water. We started taking dips into the Confluence of Ganga & Ganga. I completed 21 dips, my sister completed 108 dips. I was surprised. After that we changed our clothes and moved towards Bade Hanuman Mandir. There we took off our slippers and joined the line. It took around an hour to reach the temple. There we bowed to the Lord Hanuman then moved out of the temple. We were thinking of visiting to Akshay Vat temple but looking at the crowd we changed our mind.

After getting out of the mela region we booked an auto. Auto-rickshaws were charging double for any trip. The streets were blocked alternatively and all the ways were controlled by the forces. It took 1.5 hours to reach the home. There our cook had prepared kachori and sabji so we took the breakfast 🥞. Later we slept to take rest as we were exhausted. By evening we again got out of home and went to visit exhibitions inside Kumbh Mela. We moved to Salori area. There we visited many campus and watched many things of entertainment and curiosity as well.

Next morning we booked an auto for railway station. All the platforms were fixed for different routes. No passenger could cross any platform. 1 PM our train reached the station and we took our seats. It was on time and we were feeling sleepy as we had gotten up very early today. We took the bedsheet and blanket and slept until it reached Varanasi. Reaching our station we took a cab and moved to our homes watching beautiful sunset ahead.
