I have come to participate in a new competition organized by our @alfazmalek sir in Hindhowell community. Today's competition is public speaking so I am now starting to write today's competition post on that topic.

What is one major issue society faces today?

Considering the various problems of today's society, I think we see social division and lack of tolerance. Society is basically a place where diverse people live together. But sadly, day by day, social division and lack of tolerance are becoming more and more evident. Lack of respect for different opinions, cultures and beliefs is dividing our society. We consider our own views as the ultimate truth and disregard the opinions of others. Misinformation and hate speech spread quickly, which increases division. Due to lack of emphasis on moral education and tolerance, people are not learning to respect others.

What solution do you propose?

I will talk about some effective solutions to reduce social divisions and increase tolerance. Tolerance, humanity and moral education should be made mandatory in the curriculum. Positive discussions about different cultures and beliefs should be held so that children learn mutual respect from an early age.Schools and colleges should implement cultural exchange programs, workshops, and debates to foster tolerance for diversity. Tough measures should be made to stop hostile and false information from spreading on social media and in the media. Information should be responsibly verified and shared, and people and organizations should speak out against false information. The media should spread messages of solidarity and tolerance instead of increasing division. We should also practice increasing empathy and tolerance among ourselves. Family, friends, and coworkers can all have a conversation to lessen social divisions.Instead of fighting, we should respect others' opinions and try to understand each other.

Tolerance is something we must all practice if we are to create a lovely and harmonious community. Although differences are inevitable, the genuine beauty of humanity lies in respect for one another. Let unity and love, not division, be our main goal.

How can people work together to bring change?

People can work together to eliminate social divisions and increase tolerance. Discussion meetings can be organized with people from different communities, where they can share their views. Educational institutions, religious centers and social organizations at the local level need to work together. Social media should be used responsibly and hateful content should be avoided.
