A call for support.Dedicating energy and efforts for keeping our environment clean

Hello dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all must be doing great and must be doing your activities in consonance with nature. I hope you must be taking proper care of your surroundings. Today, I’m here going to share some important thing with all of you, and I hope I’ll be able to attract your attention, and also would be able to express myself regarding this serious concern.

We live in the villages of India, or more precisely, in the villages of Kashmir. Life here used to be very simple. In the past, fewer things were in use, and whatever was used was produced or made locally within the area before being utilized.

However, as life has become more modern, people’s lifestyles have changed, and their incomes have increased, leading to a shift in their way of living. Nowadays, people are not as dependent on those old methods. Most things now come from the market rather than being locally produced.

While this change has made life easier and helped people keep up with the fast pace of modern times, it has also affected local workers. Still, given the increasing speed of life, this modernization was essential. The availability of products from outside has become crucial in today’s world, where people have very little time.

With this changing lifestyle, many challenges have also started emerging. It is rightly said that whenever there is convenience, difficulties come along with it. As life has transformed, new challenges have arisen. The real cost of this change is being borne by our environment. Environmental pollution has become an inevitable consequence of this evolving lifestyle.

Since most of the products we bring home come in plastic bags or other non-biodegradable materials, these items continue to accumulate in our surroundings. In cities, municipal bodies have managed, to some extent, to collect and dispose of such waste. However, in our beautiful villages, where no such organized system exists, these materials keep adding to environmental pollution.

Plastics and polythene are now piling up in village streams and waterways, posing a significant challenge. This has led to water pollution and severe soil contamination. It is a real and pressing issue, especially for those who are genuinely concerned about the environment.

To tackle this challenge, the RD Department, which has played a significant role in transforming India’s villages, has taken the initiative to help these areas face this issue. I closely observe all such initiatives, and a few days ago, we launched a campaign to free our block from legacy waste sites.

A formal inauguration was held for this initiative, and since then, we have been actively working on it. Public cooperation is crucial for the success of this program. Under this initiative, we have resolved to remove waste from important locations, including roadsides and public spaces. To achieve this, we have also hired agencies on contract, which will be compensated for their services.

This is an essential step toward transforming our villages, and I believe we need to focus more on such efforts. People living in rural areas should actively participate because cleaning up the accumulated waste that has polluted our environment will require significant funds and effort. The support of villagers is crucial in making this initiative a success.
