The Dress Codes Of My Community
This is one of the best contests I have seen and participated so far, I must say. I mean an avenue where you represents your country irrespective of the slowly demise of culture in this dispensation.
My country's name Nigeria, where we have diverse cultures but basically, we are made up of three ethnic groups;which includes The Igbo's, the hausa's and the yoruba's.
I don't really know about hausa's and yoruba's because we reside in the eastern region.
Though I think yoruba dresses with their Asoke which gives them the sense of belonging and togetherness.
Telling you about the eastern region, the cloth that is more seen on men is the Isiagu, it is a designed fabric. Ishiagu meaning ''the head of a lion''.
So, its a thick fabric designed in many colours which the head of a lion is drawn on them as designs and men wear this to occasion like weddings, traditional marriage etc.
Their is another attire men wear again. Its called Senator, it is like a fine linen in making colour and when they put this on, it helps them look classy and fashionable.
For women wrapper can be worn basically known as george. They also wear blouse on different wrapper. There is this special wrapper that women tie again it's called kente. Trust me these dresses are giving.

In schools uniforms are worn on specific days, it can be pinafore, polo, gown for ladies and sometimes baret for women, some schools prefers trousers too for women I mean.
You already know men can wear trousers anywhere.
In workplaces nice and presentable dresses are worn. Like suit, jackets, heels for ladies and sometimes, they organize dress codes to make the work arena look colorful.
Though in hospitals, nurses wears white or scrub while doctors wears lab coats.
In churches women dresses classy and modest with whatever they have looking good.
In wedding is totally different.
The bride appears in a beautiful, white, wedding dress, With her dress, once you see her, you know she is the one getting married.
Men on wedding day must be on suit of any colour of his choice look elegant and good..
But for traditional weddings, the bride and the groom wears different outfit but of different colours.
I think my favourite outfit is just a casual cloth which suit my body stature and can be worn anywhere.
There are so many dress codes and patterns depending on your tribe and occasion I will say.
Love your culture, it gives u sense of belonging..
I invite you @cranium @xkool24 @joslud to join this amazing contest.
All thanks to @abdullahw2 for bringing up this contest.
