Kuwait-based news channel Al Jazeera has recently released a controversial documentary against the Bangladeshi government and the head of government. The video has spread widely on YouTube and Facebook. This tarnishes the image of the country and the government. So the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority of Bangladesh (BTRC) is very concerned about this issue. So they have recently sent a request to youtube and Facebook to remove this information.

Bangladesh's top court has also ordered the deletion of the image. Asked about this, BTRC chairman Shyam Sundar Sikder said, "We have emailed youtube and Facebook requesting the deletion of the image." youtube has hired a mass communication company in Bangladesh. The mass communication company said that the representative of youtube said that they have not received any request.

BTRC co-president Subrata Roy Maitra said they would resolve the issue soon. But it remains to be seen whether YouTube and Facebook will make the request.
