Which part of God do you serve?
It's funny how we all sit at a church or live our lives thinking we are serving "God" but in reality, we all have our "God" that we serve. Everybody's got a version of God in his or her head and it's true.
It might happen that you share the same belief with someone and speak almost the same thing about God but actually you've all got entirely different perspectives about God altogether.
So which side are you?
Are you serving a version or part of God?
Which God do you serve?
Someone is serving the God that gives wealth, and that is that. His or her sole aim for going to church or worshipping God is for God to have some mercy on him and boom his business or simply make him attain wealth.
It is true, God grants wealth, but that's just only one of the numerous things He's capable of.
Some serve God because they feel they need to be protected. It's not bad to want to be protected by a higher being but if that's the only reason for going in and out everytime at church, you're making a big mistake. You're only serving a version of God, that "protective God" version in your head.
Others serve God because they fear for their health, they think God will give them good health and also heal them only when they worship Him. This isn't a bad idea too, however, doing this actually means you're only serving the "healing" part of God or the god of good health.
When I continue with the mentions, I'll go on and on. We all know what I'm talking about.
God is capable of all the things we seek; wealth protection, good health, long life, life forever, peace, etc.
But we keep belittling God by seeking only a part of Him. It makes it look like we do not want Him for His other capabilities. We don't love Him because He is God.
What if He stops giving us what we seek, will we keep worshipping Him?
Let me say this, God shouldn't be worshipped because of anything He does for us but because He is God. If we put this in our minds, we will worship God without conditions.
We shouldn't worship only a part of God, no, but the whole of Him.
God should be revered for who He is. He deserves it.
We are nothing but His creatures and He does what He wants with us. Whatever He does for us isn't because of our might or abilities but His grace alone.
1 Chronicles 16:29
GIVE TO THE LORD THE GLORY DUE HIS NAME; BRING AN OFFERING, AND COME BEFORE HIM. OH, WORSHIP THE LORD IN THE BEAUTY OF HOLINESS!
Thanks for having time to read and may God be with us all. 🌹 :)
