HELPING OTHERS (The controversies).
Do people help people who can help them back? From what I’ve seen, it’s a yes and no.
My mom is the one who instilled the act of kindness in me. She’d always repeat the lyric from the song “ if you do good you do for yourself”. And she’d say if you are kind, it paves a good way for you. Have you heard the quote, “ in a world where you could be anything, be kind”? Because if you look closely, there is so much sadness in this world and so many people who need help.
Your little act of kindness can bring so much joy into somebody’s life. I see a lot of videos on instagram and facebook, where people help the homeless. They will intentionally drop their wallets next to the homeless people while they walk by and have another person secretly recording to see what the homeless people will do with the wallets. In most cases, the homeless people will chase and give the wallets back to the owners.
Then the owner will reward them, point to the camera to let them know they’re being recorded. Those videos make me cringe so much. I’m not saying it’s bad to help the helpless, but do you have to make a whole social media page know so you can gain your popularity out of that? Who knows, maybe the the homeless don’t want to be filmed. If you truly wanted to help them you would have just given them the money and not make a scene out of it.
This brings me back to the question, do people help only those who can help them back? It generally depends on the person’s morals and current circumstances. There are some people who are genuinely kind and will give no matter how tough it is for them. There are some people out there too who will only help you because you have something that they want.
These thoughts have actually make me want to inquire all the time about which is right.
This post is not just to educate others or talk about giving(we all know giving is good, and aside it putting smiles on people's faces, you also get blessed).
I just want to know about your thoughts too. Maybe I'm wrong.
Do people really have to show it? Maybe to motivate others, I know, but who doesn't know giving is good?
Any help or thoughts will be appreciated.
Should giving out be made known to everyone or be made subtle?
And also should we always give and expect something in return?
I've already talked about how I feel about it and I'd like to hear about yours too.

Any thoughts on this?
THIS?
OR
THAT?
Thanks for reading.

There are two or more sides of the coin regarding the question.
Let us hear what our Lord Jesus Christ said concerning how we should give to the needy.:
However, if a brother,'s need is brought to the open for brethren's assistance, and a budget is made for it. In this case it is only the organisers that would know an individual contribution. In this case I do not see anything wrong in appreciating the givers in the open.
Let's come back home to steemit upvotes. If you only vote on those whose upvotes is much expecting upvotes from them in return, you are not better than the Pharisees. Yes you may get it back from them but it may not have eternal value.
Giving is a godly lifestyle. It should not be like a commercialised giving venture.
I am not sure I have dealt with the topic exhaustively.
Thanks for bringing up.
