Chinese scientists have claimed in new research that coffee can prove to be helpful in reducing weight and exercising more. That means coffee can be very effective in preventing obesity. Researchers from the Huahajang University of Science and Technology located in Wuhan, China, have studied this. With the help of this discovery, future caffeine drugs can be used to reduce obesity.

According to the chief researcher Guo Zhang, coffee contains caffeine, which increases the oxytocin hormone emission in the body. Oxytocin burns calories. It makes metabolism and hunger better, causing weight loss. Though it has been long believed that consumption of coffee reduces weight, but how it happens, before this research it was not known.

Mice started eating less than coffee
Researchers used this experiment on overweight mice. These rats were given more quantity of caffeine. It was found that they started eating less and became more active. With this the mice started to lean slowly.
