The Backlash to Plastic Has Oil Companies Worried
If the financial industry fears a slowdown in plastic consumption this is good for the earth!
Interesting article from bloomberg.
If the financial analysts take notice you can be sure that something big is happening...
The global crackdown on plastic trash threatens to take a big chunk out of demand growth just as oil companies like Saudi Aramco sink billions into plastic and chemicals assets. Royal Dutch Shell Plc, BP Plc, Total SA and Exxon Mobil Corp. are all ramping up investments in the sector.
Dear @solarwarrior
Another interesting choice of topic buddy. This is quite an old post so I'm not even sure if you would still check out your comment section.
I must admit that I never knew that there may be connection between Oil Companies and Plastic. Every day brings some new interesting knowledge :)
Anyway plastic is one of those topics, that will be coming back every now and then (just the way "overpopulations" and "wars" do). And at the end I hardly doubt that anything will ever be changed and this problem will only increase.
Upvote on the way :)

I personally think that our plastic problem is much bigger than the climate change problem. Both are big problems but this plastic kills subtle and creeping.
We collect a lot of plastic every day when walking @dog-marley. He brings it to us for a reward.
But it's a never-ending fight. It feels like the more you collect the more will be there tomorrow.
seriously? your dog collects plastic? cleans the beaches???
my personal hero of the day!
I will buy some dog sweets for him!
He really does - about a year ago "he" wrote about it :)

Indeed hero of the day :)
Indeed hero of the day :)
Indeed @pundito
This is quite a serious issue (same as overpopulation) and it seem that noone out there can come up with solution to this problem (maybe on micro-scale some countries do, but globally things are only going to get worse).
Cheers
Piotr
That is a well trained dog. Good job - but a
never ending job for @dog-marley
