Welcome to Steemit Learning Challenge Season 23 Week#4.In this course we will explore the different country cuisines every week, their spices, their cooking style, and a food recipe that is the most popular.

I welcome you to the best Pakistan cuisine you have ever seen, with its amazing and rich history,crazy ingredients, and amazing regional flavours , spices and diversity, and cooking techniques, shaped by the country's history, geography, and cultural influences. You will feel Pakistan's warmth and hospitality in this cuisine.

Diversity of Pakistan's cuisine:*

1. Regional cuisines:

Pakistani cuisine varies across the country regions, with distinct flavors and cooking techniques in all provenance Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

2. Ethnic cuisines:

Pakistani cuisine is influenced by various ethnic groups, including Punjabis, Sindhis, Balochis, and Pashtuns.

3. Street food:

Pakistani street food is famous all over the country for its flavors and affordability . Some popular streed food are channa chat,goolgappy , ban kabab etc.

Popular Dishes:

1. Chicken Karahi:

It's a spicy chicken dish cooked in less time with few ingredients in a wok.

2. Biryani:

It is popular all over the country, a rich flavoured rice dish made with basmati rice, and meat with many aromatic spices,

3. Kebabs:

meat (usually beef, chicken, or lamb) marinated and then grilled .

4. Naan:

Naan cooked in a tandoor oven. Its just a Leavened flatbread

5. Haleem:

Haleem made with wheat, lentils, and meat and spices slow-cooked until all gets tender together then blend it by wooden Spatula.

Cooking Techniques:

1. Tandoori cooking:

Traditional clay oven cooking, often used for bread (naan) and meat dishes.

2. Grilling:

Grilling is a popular cooking method, especially for kebabs and skewers.

3. Stewing:

Slow-cooked stews, like haleem and nihari, are staple Pakistani dishes.

4. Stir-frying:

Stir-frying is used in various Pakistani dishes, including curries and vegetable dishes.

Spices and Seasonings:

1. Cumin:

A staple spice in Pakistani cuisine, used in many dishes.

2. Coriander:

It's used in curries and stews in Pakistan's cuisines.

3. Garam masala:

A mixture of 8-9 difderent spices like black pepper, clove, Cardamom, cumin, aniseed, cinnamon and more, used to add depth and warmth to dishes.

4. Chili powder:

Adds heat and flavor to many Pakistani dishes.

Beverages:

1. Chai:

A milk tea is a staple in Pakistani culture.

2. Lassi:

A yogurt-based drink that's refreshing and cooling.

Chicken Karhai

Ingredients:

Ingredients:
-Tamatar (Tomatoes) 5 medium
-Water ½ Cup
-Cooking oil ½ Cup
-Chicken mix boti 750g
-Ginger garlic paste 1 & ½ tbs
-Green chillies deseeded & julienne 5-6
-Salt 1 tsp or to taste
-Red chili powder 1 tsp
-Coriender powder1 tsp
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
-Yogurt whisked ½ Cup
-Fresh coriander chopped
-Ginger julienne

Making :

  • Take oil in a wok (pan) add chicken and fry for sometime. Add 3-4 chilli in it and fry for few minutes, it gives great flavour to the recipe. Now add garlic ginger past and fry until aroma arises and sotey for few minutes.

  • Add chopped tomatoes or paste over it and fry all ingredients on medium high flame.

  • Add salt, red chilli powder, chilli flakes, Cuminseeds, coriander powder all spices and fry it on high flame for few minutes.

  • Add yougart in it and fry it for few minutes until oil separate from spices. Cut ginger, green chillies and Coriender leaves. Put it on the karhai. Cover the lid for 1-2 minutes.

4- Which flavour or spice do you like from Pakistan's cuisine ?(1pt)
