SLC23-W2 // "Afghan Cuisine"
1-What is new for you from the course, any spice or cooking technique or anything that you want to share?(2points)
Well!!!! I would say thanks to dear mam @suboohi who given us chance to learn something different and unique through this challenge it's learning and obviously we leaned from others.
In last learning challenge I cooked enchiladas that was my first attempt and it turns out a tasty and today I have cooked Afghani cuisine although I have eaten it many times because I am married in Peshawar but cooked it first time.
The new things was I boiled meat first and then cooked but mam told in challenge first cooked onion and then cooked meat in it and also taken out meat from stock and add in the last it was new for me and obviously the taste was really good and different from my routine.
2- Is your local cousin has any food that resembles with the shared recipe?(1point)
The fish is not obvious same but if we see Pakistani pualo has great resemblance with it and we cooked rice with more diversity such as with meat chicken and it has almost same just like Afghani pualo. Hence we also added carrots and cardamom for decorating our pulao and also in Mustang it's quite similar in looks but obvious it's not same although we have more flavours. I liked the Afghani pualo rice because of sweet and salt taste.
3- Make the afghani polaw by using the recipe given in course or which you like?Include your name tag with date in final presentation of recipe. (4 points)
