How to find out who is flagging you on Steemit!!
I have been flagged a few times on comments and posts but recently I have accentually discovered something! Thanks to @stevescoins shit Christmas competition and a former Young Farmer @ladypenelope1 who have both have flagged me recently!
To be fair @stevescoins told me he flagged my comment after telling everybody else not to, he flagged my comment because he accused me of trolling! I entered my Christmas poem in to his Christmas poem competition and he writes a comment (he has since deleted or edited) that said something like "not worth commenting on really, do not flag this comment/poem it is within the rules." I replied with "but you commented" he then edited his comment to "changed my mind; flagged for trolling stay off my pages and comments, shitbird Edited 12/15" Not really trolling on my behalf I believe and he seems a bit hyper sensitive and angry maybe he has had a hard day or life but @stevescoins personal problems are beside the point.
I noticed that he also shown on the upvoted list of the comment.
Earlier the same day I noticed that @ladypenelope1 had upvoted my blog about Young Farmers. This surprised me because she was a Young Farmer and she has expressed disapproval at these blogs in the past. I was flagged at about the same sort of time.
For some reason maybe a temporary technical fault both show in the upvoted list, so if they flag you they show on the upvoted list! It may be hard to find out who but somewhere on the upvoted list is an offended, angry person. Flag them back.
They should make flagging public, I suspect the flagging system is going to be abused pretty badly just like on youtube with the copyright flagging and I'd like to prevent people like that from getting any money and it also will indicate exactly why they flagged various posters if they have certain political persuasions.
I think you are going to be proved right, one flag counts for way too much on here.
Sadly because I make the most grim predictions they often turn out true, I like being proven wrong :( I think you're right. I don't know how they're going to handle it, because if they make it all about steem power then people could just buy influence and actually end up blackmailing other users by flagging them for no reason.
I wonder if perhaps there shouldn't be a threshold of some kind for flagging where there has to be a certain number of users flagging it before the post gets hidden and make it quite high and then that will mean that it won't be abused so much by voting bots or mobs trying to silence a person.
Another thing they could do is have it so that someone with steempower can upvote a flagged post and have it shown again, but again, none of these systems are very trustless so they'll be abused too easily.
You can also look up users on steemd I think, doesn't it show who flags people by showing it as an "downvote" or something? For example this user https://steemd.com/@nc-mgtow
@jenniferlawrence flagged me???
She's a serial flagger - like the Night Stalker, but more demure.
