How Many DIED The First Week? (Raising Meat Chicks)
This surprised us...
When people raise meat chickens, often death is factored in. We expected to lose a certain number of chicks over this past week. Last Monday, we brought home 102 meat chicks, so we figured we'd do an update where we discuss how many over this past week.

The big thing about Cross-X is they die from a heartattack near adulthood.
One person says he got a much lower death rate when he withheld feed.
Don't just leave them all the food. (they will eat and eat and eat)
So, you feed them like three times a day, enough for them to eat for a few hours, then have a few hours where they have to run and scratch and forage.
