I think that trucks are some of the most dangerous vehicles on the road:

• Drivers who have long treks daily and are incentive to hurry
• Low visibility of surrounding vehicles / big blind spots
• Potential for significant damage in the event of a collision due to size/weight

I think automation presents an opportunity to address at least the first two points and could improve highway safety.
