Considering that Cuba is a country that has been subject to one of the toughest sanctions, its ability to attract $1.9 billion in foreign investments is laudable. Besides that if you compare its GDP (Nominal) of $100 billion and its Per Capita Income of $8,822 to that of many other countries that are not subject to any sanctions, with much larger population and natural resources, then Cuba economic performance seem even more impressive.
