Bear and Bobi the Bad - Daily Pet Photography Day 469
Stop and smell the roses. Or hydrangeas.
Can cats sniff the life out of them? Shouldn’t the blooms last a whole week?
Now they look too shabby for an Easter gift. (Never plan too far ahead.)
"More water!!!!"
says a friend who saw my question at Facebook. And she is right. Apparently hydrangeas like to be kept a lot wetter than my other houseplants do.
Why are the new blossoms green, not blue? *sigh
I really don't like houseplants or non-native flowers outdoors. Too high-maintenance for me.
Just step outside that door,
and the bluebells are emerging - true blue, year after year, without human intervention!
The trout lily, the trilium, the bloodroot flower, along with violets and anemones, are popping out.
Finally.
This is a very late spring in the Midwest. We've had violets blooming by April 1 and tulips blazing well before mid-month. But spring arrived, at last, and the grass is green, even if the trees are still undressed.
Happy Spring, my friends!
