Application to be a moderator.

Good day everyone. I am here to place my application for the role of a moderator. I know you might want to know why I want this role and what I am willing to offer in this community. Let me share a little introduction of myself and my steemit lifestyle.

My first encounter with Steemit started in 2023 when my friend introduced the platform to me. At first, I was not sure about it as I thought I would not be able to write a long note. Later on, I became interested as I published my first introduction post in the newcomer community.

My real name is chosen Okon or chosen Jackson. I am 24 years old, and this year will make me 2 years old. I am based in Nigeria. Am a salesman personel in a business area. Most time you might notice about posting with drinks at the background. I tried as much as possible to be active even though I couldn't create a post, but trust me, I wouldn't miss commenting and engaging.

One of the biggest problems I faced was having something to guide me. In my first month on duty, I made a lot of mistakes, and I appreciate those you corrected me and gave me a helping hand till today. I think I can also lend the helping hand to other by supporting them.

My motivation every day is that we all can achieve our goals only if we work towards them. There was a time I gave up, and I did not receive the support I suppose to, but some steemian help me to understand that focusing mainly on the potential reward in this platform will only discourage us if we did not see what we expect. When I sat down and reviewed those words, I found a sense in it.

I know it is not easy being a newbie in the platform. And at that time, so many have left because you have not been supported. From my experience, I think although my voting value is just a cent, engaging with them will encourage them to keep them active. I realized that these days, it is is very rare for people to engage in comments, so I think I will try as much as possible to make an engaging contest to draw more active users to the community.

I am not perfect as I can make mistakes, that is why I would like to work with other moderators who are more skillful than me. We can learn from each other. Not just about being a moderator, we need active people, and this can be active when we have active and interested contests in the community.

I may not be qualified for the position, but I will do anything possible to keep the community active. You may not get to know someone unless you comment on his or her post; it's the same thing everywhere. I believe from the name "purpose" we all have something to achieve, and I feel that this is the right place.
