Testimony - The First Time
Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mar 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;
they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

When I was first born again, I would stay in my room and read the Bible and pray. I was amazed at God’s Word and every Word seemed like it was speaking directly to me instead of a story about others. This went on for a couple of months. When I first met Jesus, I had no job and had plenty of free time just to spend in fellowship. My bible, the Holy (Teacher) and me. After about six months I moved to New Jersey and began helping with a youth group in a local congregation. This is where I met Billy.
The First Time God used me to Heal the Sick
In my devotional time I read the text for today and the part that popped out to me was, “These signs SHALL follow them that BELIEVE, they SHALL lay hands on the sick and the SICK SHALL RECOVER.” The very next day was Sunday and after the worship service I noticed Billy and went back to see him. He was with his mom and we began to talk. In our conversation she said something about having to go for an operation on Monday or the very next day. When she showed me the tumor on her hand and described months of treatments that had not worked, and I could see the fear and sadness in her eyes, I remembered the verse.
“THE SICK SHALL RECOVER”
When we prayed, I knew something happened! This tumor was bigger than a golf ball. Instead of asking God to heal it, my prayer came out more like a command. The tumor did not immediately go away, but on the next Sunday when I saw them again Billy’s mom told me she woke up the very next morning and the tumor was completely gone. She still sent to her doctor and after some tests, she was declared cured. No need to operate! Billy’s mom gave her heart to Jesus! She had been attending church, but really had not dedicated her heart and life to Christ.
Hallelujah!
