Shillong ready to host Indian Cherry Blossom Festival in Nov
The beauty of nature gives us enough reasons to travel to different parts of the world. The cherry blossom festival in Shillong, which contributes to this charm of life, needs a special mention because it changes the whole landscape of the place. You can see cherry blossoms in some countries like India, Pakistan, Japan, Siberia and China. The flowering of these flowers and their short lives often symbolize the fleeting form of nature, which changes from time to time. Due to its resemblance to human life, which is beautiful and still not over, Japan celebrates life and mortality during flowering cherry blossoms. The good news is that the Meghalaya government has decided to hold the Indian Cherry Blossom Festival in Shillong during the second edition of the International Cherry Blossom Festival in November 2017.
The festival will take place from November 8-11, at a time when the Shillong forests are turning rosy due to the flowering of thousands of cherry blossoms throughout the region. In anticipation of this festival, cherry trees remained planted at Mawphlang, New Shillong, Ward Lake and Umiam Lake-Shillong Road.
In addition to the fantastic view of cherry trees everywhere, the festival offers exciting activities for travelers, such as flower-guided hikes, bike rides, and photo shoots. Wine and music, shows and stalls selling and selling local Meghalaya handicrafts stand also offered. Local performances at this year's Cherry Blossom International Festival in Shillong will mainly include folk and rock music as well as dances by artists from different regions of the northeast. Promote the growth of these flowers; The inhabitants receive cherry blossoms.
