C stands for... crocheting

in CCC2 years ago

The last time I crocheted I can hardly remember it's long ago. By the way, as a teenager, I got caught up in the breaks at school. A ball of wool in my coat pocket and a Tunisian crochet hook in my hand. Tunisian crochet is very fast. I once tried to crochet curtains and a tablecloth. That was all back in just like today.
The reason I didn't crochet anymore has to do with lack of time and money. In general, I also like knitting better than crochet, although I would never knit a curtain or tablecloth.
My children can also knit. The scarves they knitted years ago are still there. Knitting a scarf or hat is not an option. We have enough hats and the scarves are rarely used.
As far as the self-knitted sweater is concerned, I don't wear it quickly, sweaters or cardigans made of wool are not fast anyway. It makes me itchy and at a certain point I couldn't knit anymore because I had to sneeze all the time.

The box of wool received is still there and I have a lot of knitting needles. I've never knitted with really thick needles and most wool needs one. My youngest wants arm warmers, never knew that exists too, and with so much wool it should be possible to make them myself. Because knitting isn't an option, I'm going to see if I can crochet it. My child can then try to make something with the help of the knitting ring.

So today I first looked on the internet to see what has been crocheted by others and picked up my basic crochet knowledge. Tomorrow I'll start crocheting and maybe I'll buy the knitting needles I need so that I can finally use all that wool, because it has been there for ten years.
