The Pacific Northwest is very unique………..
Storm clouds can be piling up on the Western side of the Mountains, and the Sun can be shining on the Eastern side!😎
That’s what Silvertop was experiencing today!😊
I passed David my neighbor from the tiny house on the start of today’s hike……..
“They were calling for rain ALL day today Silvertop, it’s turning out to be a nice day after all!” 🤗
“No rain my friend, I’ll call that a very nice day!”☺️
I continued uphill, switchback, after Switchback……..😅
“See da dark clouds Silbertop, we turn back, hike another day!”🐸
”Patience little Frog, we are headed to “Soaring Eagle”!☺️
The last section of trail leading to Soaring Eagle, runs along the Ridge top that separates the Eastern side of Sumas Mountain, from the Western side.
On Winter days, as soon as you cross over to the Eastern side, you are met with an icy cold blast of wind!🥶
Now that Spring is here, instead of bitter cold wind, warm Sunshine filters through the trees!😊
