Wildlife Capture: Lizard Water Monitor (Varanus salvator)

in Beauty of Creativityyesterday

I accidentally sighted this animal was crawling near the pond in which I believe, that would be an interesting subject to be shot since I rarely find such an animal around. So, I grabbed my camera and tried to avoid its notice when taking photos. Yeah, this animal is very vulnerable to the threat which made me be like a thief in taking its photos. We call biawak air, although due to its prevalence it is simply referred to as biawak. As I used to do when dealing with wild animals, away from their sight, I sneaked behind the trees or from something unnoticeable and started shooting them from distance range, that what I did when I found this reptile on water. This lizard is called Asian Monitor (Varanus salvator) that mostly spend time in the water. Here we call biawak air, although due to its prevalence it is simply referred to as biawak. This species is semiaquatic and opportunistic that dwell a variety of natural habitat that resides in the forest and mangrove swamps.

I have heard that these are often seen in our coastal areas, but I am quite scared to see them. Although I have not seen them in real life yet. Great photography
