My traveling part 9 🇲🇾 : Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS)
After a long journey of about 4 hours from Larkin Sentral Bus Terminal to Kuala Lumpur, we finally arrived at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 18:07 local time.
We boarded a beautiful pink bus that read Progress Liner. This was my second visit to TBS, and I was immediately amazed by the splendor and modernity of the terminal. On my first visit, I arrived at TBS in the middle of the night, so I wasn't able to see all sides of the terminal. Hence, on this occasion, let us review the terminal specifically.

TBS is the largest bus terminal in Kuala Lumpur, in fact, it almost resembles an airport in terms of size and facilities. It has four levels, and the area around the terminal is also very spacious, with a specially built multi-level road connecting the terminals, resembling a toll road.
I was impressed by the cleanliness, neatness and spaciousness of the terminal. The facilities provided are very complete, including a comfortable waiting area, clear departure information boards, and an informative ticketing area.

For additional information, you can book bus tickets online. However, since my wife and I are newcomers, there are many things we do not know about the online ticket booking procedure at the TBS terminal. Therefore, for newcomers, we recommend queuing up and buying tickets directly at the counter.
The terminal is so large that according to the information I got, it has up to 22 departure gates. In addition, on the top floor of the TBS terminal, there is a well-stocked minimarket, a variety of delicious dining options, hotel rooms for resting, and shops selling various other necessities.
After arriving at the TBS terminal, my wife and I did not immediately rush to the exit. We went straight to one of the food stalls to fill our hungry stomachs. There, we ordered nasi lemak, a favorite dish in Kuala Lumpur.
After eating, we continued our journey towards the exit. From there, we could see the train station connected to the terminal. This integration makes it easy for passengers to continue their journey to various destinations in Kuala Lumpur and beyond.
From the pedestrian bridge, I observed the magnificent architecture of the TBS building, consisting of four floors, as well as the toll road integrated with the terminal. I was very impressed with the transportation infrastructure in Kuala Lumpur, especially when compared to the poorly maintained condition of the bus terminal in Aceh.

Overall, I was impressed with the complete facilities, cleanliness, and integration with other modes of transportation. TBS is an example of a modern bus terminal that provides comfort and convenience for passengers.
Finally, we continued our journey to the high-speed rail station across the street from the lower area of the terminal. The next leg of our journey would take us to our hotel. Curious as to what the hotel was like? Follow along with my travel story.
