Summer free time.

Hello friends,

Right now when it’s summer time and most of my students are at camps, I get a day off almost every day. I do a lot of homework with my own kids and all the needed house work but still have free time. That’s why yesterday I decided to do some sketching.

Here are the step by step photos of the process. First, I did a silhouette of the bird and the branch.

Then, I was working on shading, trying to show the light and the shade.

I also drew a few feathers here and there, it’s important to not overwork and not overload the sketch with too many details.

This is almost done here. The end result you can see on the first photo above.
