AUSTRALIA APPROVES FIRST PROTEIN VACCINE IN COVID19

#TGA has approved the Novavax COVID-19 vaccine and oral tablets for use in the treatment of Covid19 in Australia.

The Pharmaceutical Products Administration (TGA) has granted interim approval for Novavax's COVID-19 vaccine for use in Australia.

The Nuvaxovid-branded Novavax vaccine is only approved for adults 18 years of age and older. Two doses can be taken three weeks apart.

TGA stated that the studies on the use of Novavax as a booster vaccine are still continuing and announced that it would only be used as a primary vaccine.
