Who's who in ᴀʀᴛ & ᴀʀᴛɪꜱᴛꜱ Community? in My Google Maps
Progress
Greetings to the arts and artists in all their manifestations. I bring you a first update of our map or what is intended to be a showcase to the world, to show all the artists of Steemit, who want to join.
What is the project about?
Create a directory viewable on Google My Map where artists can share their profile, social networks and show photos or videos of their works. And perhaps in the future, why not dream of incorporating it into Steem Atlas? CC. @pennsif
How are we doing?
🎨- We have the first EIGHT brave people who are testing the project. (Updated in March/05/2025)
🎨- 07countries: Bangladesh, Nigeria, Portugal, USA, Cuba, Netherlands, Venezuela.
🎨- Three layers of display:
- Moderators: for the community moderators and administrators
- Artists: Artist profiles
- Writers & Editors: Profiles of other associated arts.
🎨- Do you want to participate? Just ask us.
It is a project that is still under construction, especially, in what and how much information will it appear? And for the location of the artist, for reasons of protecting his identity.
On that point I propose working with pseudonyms, aliases and avatars. And using the country as a geographic reference. (We can talk about this)
To improve:
Establish the dimensions for the best display of the photographs in the map applications: Google maps & Google Earth.
Note: PD: (For photos/logos/Presentation card). You preferably use these proportions (Best: 4: 5; - 5: 4; Good 1: 1 or 9:16)
A look
Here is a look at the artists who have accepted the invitation, note that they can show personal photography, videos or business cards, you can also customize your marker with a round logo in specific dimensions. (If you are interested, just ask me.)

Please share the map with your contacts inside and outside of Steemit. Leave comments with your questions, doubts, concerns. Or a simple message saying: I want to be there!

Nice to see myself on the map. I hope that many artists and writers will join the project. It would be very easy to have this directory of social networks and art in general of like-minded people.

This is an awesome idea, and a great way to increase the community reach and engagement as well as improve individual exposure.

Saya menjadi tertarik setelah melihat sahabat steemian muncul di MAP, saya akn menyiapkan profil dan deskripsi diri untuk di tampilkan. Saya akan segera muncul.
This is cool idea, though I am not sure I have much to contribute beyond my scribbles at the moment. Still, it's a prospect worth exploring someday :-D
Interesting concept. Maybe we could produce custom versions of Steem Atlas in the future...

First of all, thank you for working on such a beautiful initiative. It feels good to see myself in the Google map. I hope many artists and writers will join this project. It could easily become a wonderful network as a meeting place for opinions and creativity.
