I was so moved by a story last night that it stayed with me until this morning.
Inspired beyond words, I can only say that I wish my skill was good enough to draw the true vision in my head... but I tried anyway.

Let me tell you something...
John is probably one of the best storytellers that I've found on Steemit - or anywhere else for that matter. His short stories are well-written, thoughtful, thought-provoking, emotional, sensitive... Simply put, he delivers beauty in writing.

thank you mere. I am truly humbled. I love your art work and to have you illustrate one of my stories is very gratifying. I have several unpublished novels and when I'm ready to publish them I'd like to see about commissioning you to do the work. My publisher had a professional artist do the cover for A Familiar Rain which is now being revised, but I think you could have done a better job.
High praise that scares the hell out of me, John. I just dabble in drawing after a 30 year hiatus! In all honesty, I was very moved by your work and I could visualize the entire story so clearly. But the scene I wanted to capture the most is what I drew - to be humble and reverent and loving.
PS - BTW, your sketch is exactly how I pictured the bronze age cist burial and I was looking for a pic that would depict it exactly and came up short. I love what you did :)
