My thoughts on January 2025"

Maximum regards to @saintkelvin17 for bringing us here so as to learn, relearn and teach. The subject of focus remains my thoughts for January 2025 and I will ensure to send my input based on the outline

In my opinion, January is the very first month of the year and it is a moment to start again as new resolutions are set, plans are made and life itself seems to start again. It is a month which strongly marks a transition and departure from the old year as such, presenting a new year full unfulfilled, unrevealed excitations.

To us here in Nigeria, it happens to be a month of 100 days plus owing to the economic hardship and scarcity of resources we seems to experience as a result of an extravagant expenses always recorded in the month of December where people travel far and near to celebrate with their loved ones. The hardship and economic stiffness makes this month slow as observed. Nevertheless, it is only a misconception as in reality, January is always a Month of 31 days.

Many people perceived this month differently, while students see it as a period to return back to school after a well enjoyed holiday, parents sees it as a period of great troubles as school fee would be paid. To house owners, it is always an exciting month as most rent will be paid and to farmers, it signifies another opportunity for cultivation. While the harmattan makes the ground difficult for cultivation, and school fee plus rent makes it difficult for parents, January remains a highly a moment of thorough reflections so as to make good plans for the remaining year.

The Month of January is always a very tedious month for me. This tediousness stems from the fact that I would need to pay my house rent, pay my school fee, help mommy in cultivation, as well, as making resolutions for myself, my family, my church and in extension a social group I belong.

This year experience became more intense when I realized that the festive period had sucked everything from me. I became down and weak until a friend of mine @bossj23 who is also a Steemian showed up and lend me some money and as well introduced me into Steemit. Currently, I could boldly say that this very January happens to be one of the most exciting January I have ever had as I spent more time interacting with fellow Steemians, creating and discovering new knowledge as well as making new friends.

Also, I found myself recalculating my usual luxurious budget, cutting down my unnecessary expenses while focusing on self development, and re-strategizing with the aim of making more funds. One of my remarkable experiences was when I woke up one morning and moved down the dusty street which was proudly sponsored by the January's harmattan. I can remember how the dried leaves sounded as a walked down my grand mother's house where she told me how January had always been during her time. My experiences in the month of January in general as taught the need to plan life in a way that will not prompt future regret.

From my numerous experiences, it seems as if it is difficult to say if January was bad or good. While some years brings feelings of punishment and regrets, this Year was quite different. though I ran out of cash, borrowed money to feed among others. January was not totally bad as it forced me to reevaluate myself, set goals and standard on my spendings and developed myself towards becoming a better me.

To be sincere, the month of January has really prepared me for the months ahead and without a doubt I could say that it was like a school master to me. I was able to get into Steemit platform, pay my school fee, cleared my house rent and as well took care of little external needs.

February which is the second month of the year with its lesser days when compared to January is pregnant of numerous and goals I wish to achieve. Among this goals include continuous self development, gaining more traction on Steemit, making friends in and out of steemit etc.

For the rest of the year, I will be paying significant attention to financial discipline by avoiding extravagant expenses, caring for those in need as well as investing on my total well being. Ultimately, I will ensure that I walk more closer to God through prayers, doing good things as well as attending church programs.
