You wonder too what the heck you are doing on Steemit?
Why and when did you decide that Steemit is the best place to be? Is it because you love to write, share your collection, talk about your hobby, learn something or play a game or did you decide to kill your time because someone rarely talks to you?
Whatever the reason is, nothing comes out of nothing and if you are not willing to invest (time, energy, talking to others, buying Steem, sharing expertise) no one will notice you and you are forgotten unless...
Unless you have friends who will upvote you no matter what. The best friends are the curators, SRs, Admins of rich communities, the Steemitblog team and of course the witnesses and SC 01 and 02 but what if they had it with you? What will you do? Still, around checking your notifications or will you give up on Steemit?
An interesting fact is that if you ask around most Steemians will check their notifications first. I know I do and so does @cicisaja and most likely you do too (oh, you say only to check if you received upvotes? Ever thought about checking/upvoting those who upvoted you?).
So if you are one of those looking for, hoping on a message how come you don't write them yourself?
"I have no idea what to comment"t, is a frequently said answer used to defend the lack of interaction and with that the lack of engagement and investment in keeping Steemit a lively place to be (long sentence indeed but for sure you are able to understand or translate what is meant.. if not take your time to think).
How about saying: I tried to read you but I have no clue what you are talking about, please, can you explain? Or: I have no idea what to comment but I like to tell you that you are read. I hope you don't mind I didn't say anything personal or didn't add something valuable to your text.
Isn't this a valuable comment for the reader? I believe everyone likes to be read once in a while, it's not cool to just post and see that for the 200th time, your comments are 0 (or only sent by bots).

It's good to have some savings and Steemit could be that piggy bank you don't have in real life. Ever thought about saving for those rainy days instead of keeping spending? Next to growing your SP Steemit can also provide you in different ways if it comes to a safety net. Platforms are great opportunities to meet people all over the world. You can not only learn how to save but also how to keep yourself and your loved ones safe and what to think about finding like-minded people to talk to willing to give you a hand in your offline life.
Not only do the aid funds give a hand but many Steemians do this out of friendship. Perhaps, perhaps, who knows, perhaps you will change one day and decide to comment and reply as well. You might be surprised what engagement can bring you.

Glad that you mentioned me🤗 was thinking on create a post about today's event, but then I was infatuated to the Splinterlands again and again 🤦i was cursed for lurking around steemit to upvote my friend's post to maintain my CSI 🤣 but .. here I am.
When someone wrote in the introduction post, that reading is the hobby, but then I seldom saw the comments around, I started to ignore their posts😂😂 the truth is since we already agreed to "commenting is time consuming" here we are again! Before I sleep, I'll leave a trace on steemit. Reading and commenting are time consuming, but if you want to have a new friend, new knowledge or new understanding about people from other part of the world, you'd better manage your time. Most posts on steemit (a casual one) won't take 3 minutes to read but it takes more than 3 minutes to comment on 🫣 my bad, that's me!!
I think I'm gonna re-write this post later, I like the last paragraph. See you later 😉

We should learn to write less! Let's give it a try.. a few short ones and one longer one? It's the only way to leave a trail. Are you Splinterland addicted ...again?
Yes, I'm addicted to splinterlands again 🤦at least 10 accounts now, lesser than before 😁 I was managing 50 accounts in the past.
With several communities I subscribed and few actives and more than 30 active friends, I should try to keep them coming to my post sometimes 🤣
Am freaking out here as i don't understand what you mean by managing 10 accounts, are we talking about or steemit account?
Hahahah, it seems you're just saying exactly what I did today........i wanted to engage yesterday but I was out of battery, I manage to create a post last night though i couldn't conclude everything. Since last week I have not been feeling too well as I have a stomach upset...... don't know why it happened because it been long a experience that. But after publishing the post, my phone short down immediately. Earlier this morning when I mange to charge it with power bank and I logged in to steemit, the first thing I did was to check my notifications😂..... Oh it's even 9..... I hope there's vote in it..... I open. Did I do anything wrong for always checking the notifications? Just like any one, I needs support too.
Talking about comments, I do that in my free time, sometimes I may not have time to create a post, instead wasting a whole day without nothing I will just read some post and leave a comment. I don't know how today will be as I don't have anything interesting to write about...... Maybe because am not feeling my self.
I think it's better than ignoring. Comment doesn't have to be long, though some people prefer long comments so as to earn a reward. I also noticed that a comment with 20 words doesn't consider as quality except 50 to 100 words. Am I the only one seeing this?
I sometimes I comment based on what I know about the particular topic or my experience. But I wish you can do this for me, I will be so grateful @wakeupkitty, it might sound somehow to you but it's important to me: can you share a briefly about your journey on steemit starting from the day you joined?

🤣😂 I'm the first commenter here @mhizta. I hope that you'll get well soon and take care of your precious phone to keep it running so you can reach your goals soon.
It's alright by looking for the upvote notification first, because you're a new kid on the block. Kitty and I are old geezer here and we belongs to the same tribe 🤣🤣 comments warrior.
Hey, comment also a post, so who would support a 20-25 words article. Go ahead, do what you want to do and broaden your views with reading and commenting. Now you remind me that I haven't create a post for my 7th steemversary on January 24th.
Take care and don't forget to have fun
