One of the things why I like Ukraine is "unconventionality". Sometimes it is boring - it is a gray post-Soviet reality. But sometimes we get something that doesn't match this reality at all (or maybe only I think so?).

Near the Lviv center on Knyazya Leva street there is an inconspicuous gate.

"Choose ecological clean transport"

The Ukrainian national poet Taras Shevchenko greets us at the gate.

"Embrace my brothers, I am asking you, I am begging you!"

Next to Shevchenko, there is the National Anthem of Ukraine.

"Ukrainian glory and the freedom, has not yet died!"

Next, we are already immersed in the courtyard, which is filled with all kinds of mementos remaining after the USSR times.

Mementos themselves are by no means mementos of the USSR. These are rather memorabilia from those times. That's why we'll find there religious paintings, some old portraits, and paintings like "forest and river" - which I associate with the Polish People's Republic.

People normally live in these buildings, as you can see, incoming tourists do not bother them.
