The Crypto Renaissance - Exhibition in NYC [Intro to Steem Signage]
Steem Fast Facts + Welcome Exhibition Boards
This month, the @sndbox and @creativecrypto graphic design team will be hard at work. We’ll be sharing mockups of our exhibition boards for Steem DApps and resources over the next several days. All of the graphics we create as a result of this exhibition (posters, infographics, icons, Steem explainer pamphlets) will be entirely open source and available for all Steemians to use.
This public exhibition will showcase the tools and resources built for creative professionals on the Steem blockchain and specifically how @sndbox members have integrated them into their practice and daily work. The exhibition will be open to all visitors for several weeks and serve as a free and public space for New Yorkers and others to learn about the Steem blockchain, the world of crypto, and immediately begin converging their creative work with the Steem ecosystem.

Introducing Steem to the Public
Once you enter the exhibition there will be a series of boards designed to welcome newcomers to the premise of Steem (and the exhibition as a whole).

Steem is an online network designed to reward engagement through social applications. Publishers can earn Steem by sharing work and curating the work of others across a broad range of apps - anything from blogging, to video, livestreaming, photography, music, code or even product reviews. Unlike the likes and hearts we know and love today, this social network is not owned by a single company. Instead, Steem is designed and owned by the people who use and earn it.
Every inch of this exhibition was funded by Steem. Even the process of writing this text and designing graphics began as content published across several of the decentralized applications you will see and learn about here. The DApp Tower (decentralized applications) in the center of the exhibition showcases just a handful of social apps built on the Steem blockchain.
Steem DApp Tower Installation
The DApp Tower is a 3'-0" x 3'-0" square base that rises 9'-0" into the air. It's the centerpiece of the exhibition. The installation will be an educational showcase for Steem applications, highlighting a handful of social applications built on the Steem blockchain. This post is an update surrounding the graphics we've produced and of the full "Tower" design to be fabricated. Boards on the tower include introductory graphics and language designed to help newcomers learn more about Steem. QR codes linking to each featured DApp. We're also very excited about our Steepshot Selfie Guestbook! Visitors will be able to log into Steepshot using a tablet connected to the @exhibition account. Our team will be upvoting the "guestbook" to help pay for the show itself.

These folders contain open-source assets (adobe illustrator files, icons and infographics) that will be used for The Crypto Renaissance Exhibition in New York City. Good job, everyone I mention Steem to has never heard of it, I think lack of awareness of Steem is our biggest hurdle to overcome for widespread adoption
Agreed. I think we'll get there though as more and more bloggers/YouTubers grow dissatisfied with YouTube's restrictive monetization strategies. More big name content creators publishing on Steem apps draw more audience to Steem.
Thats why I came here, youtube demonetized my channel and there was nothing i could do about it. I don't really keep track but I have more more money here even with 1 dollar steem

At least i can say that, collecting the usefull names together needs an artistic perspective. We have many useful platforms and Steem application on the list... from @utopian-io to @steepshot . You do great! So informative infografics out there. Dear team behind of that project , i do congrate you... I wish i was able to join you in Brooklyn. Saluts from Turkey!

yea that's right, steem is surprisingly unknown ... but i would say sometimes surprisingly elitist and a nice mirror of society ...
still, its the best thing since BTC got to be the original application of a blockchain imo ... so far ... but there's a lot of ironing out to do.
@sndbox ... i was going over my top voters to see who gets a share in @steembasicincome but looking at your wallet im gonna take a wild guess and assume you're better off with a re-steem
