Short Film Review : Hope

We like to keep our home clean and tidy so that we and our children can live a healthy life, free from diseases. But just like we keep our home clean, we should also pay attention to cleanliness in other places, like the beach. You must have seen people littering plastic bottles, food wrappers, and other things on the beach, which harms marine life.

This video made me feel sad and to think in depth. It shows a cute baby turtle coming out of egg and looking around in wonder at its surroundings. It's a time of learning for the turtle, like when it touches a hot flame and feels pain. Then, it eats a potato chips from packet thinking it's food. After that, it meets a crab hiding behind a bottle.

He says "Hi!" to the crab in a cute way. They are just looking at each other when a bird suddenly attacks the crab and takes it away.

The baby turtle waves goodbye to the crab with innocence. But just then, another bird attacks the baby turtle too. However, it manages to escape.

In fact, as soon as it enters this world, it faces many challenges. This video aims to highlight a crucial point.

When a big turtle appears dead on the beach, the baby turtle feels sad. Because the pollution in the ocean is harming the creatures living in it. And then, it (baby turtle) disappears into the water, hoping that humans will do something good for them.

The short film “HOPE” is about the journey of a new born baby sea turtle named Aqua. During his journey, he faces many obstacles from human pollution to different predators. Using his mind and courage he over comes one obstacle after the other, until he reaches his final destination. Just before he enters the sea, he witnesses a life changing scene, that he bravely over comes and grows as a character.
